Yes, but be vigilant about guidelines. I created what I consider a rather extensive list of guest post guidelines , although I have seen sites with a more comprehensive list. Anytime someone asks to be a guest blogger, I send them those guidelines. Some social networks will even lead to backlinks from other sites.
