[Social Media] These Opinions Are My Own
At a recent event with a wonderful company I respect a great deal, one of their social media professionals took incredible issue with the idea that she should have to censor herself personally while she’s not “on duty&# representing her company. If we’re holding back for fear of the inevitable person that might take offense, aren’t we diluting some of the power of the social evolution of business? Disclaimer: No social media professionals were harmed in the writing of this blog post. But see where this gets tricky? People make mistakes.

[Social Media] Social Shifts In Thinking
Social technology are fueling a shift in how people, organizations and society thinks. The shift is enabled by the knowledge of what drives the social dynamics of today’s economy. Every so often—every 60 years or so—a body of technology comes along and over several decades, quietly, almost unnoticeably, transforms the economy: it brings new social classes to the fore and creates a different world for business. Otherwise, any attempts to leverage the new paradigm by forcing it to fit into old methods will create social rejections and the old problems will remain. Further,
