Dear Blog Comment Spammer, who just left a comment on one of my recent blog posts: I think whatever software tool or script that you are using is broken. When you have a fairly popular blog, you have to deal with comment spammers. Unfortunately, blog comment spamming still works apparently, or at least the blog spammers haven’t learned that it doesn’t work. Nonetheless, I’m still amazed at some of the comments left on the blog. Saved as a favorite|bookmarked!!}

Here are a few ways to find topically relevant sites: Follow blogrolls. Interact with them on Twitter, comment on one of their blog posts, or even just retweet one of their tweets to let them know you are paying attention. Please share in the comments below! Find directories ( alltop.com , technorati ). Utilize Social Media.

Emailing a blogger and asking them to “swap links” or “add you to their blogroll” is a thing of the past and just doesn’t work. Definitely. If you have a tip for others who are considering guest-blogging, definitely share them in the comments. I hope that helps! –Sean.

But look at what he says when examining what someone wrote in an article entitled “public relations comes of age&# : Besides not knowing the difference between public relations and publicity (see Seth Godin’s definition here ), the author clearly missed the boat by thinking public relations measurement is based on WOM and media mentions.
