So, I peeked at YouTube. 213 videos on YouTube , the most recent just five days ago. The Facebook page has a not-too-shabby 13,000+ fans, but most of the YouTube videos have just a few dozen views. The YouTube channel is barely mentioned on Facebook. The team has a lot of photographs on Facebook (and also some on Flickr).

Twitter is the one social network where you can really be someone’s “friend”, as cheesy and rainbow-filled as that sounds. Forums Message boards are really the first internet form of social media, after IRC. We think we’re being overwhelmed by social networking sites.

I’ve moved from Tweetmeme to Topsy on my embedded tweeting, due to improved metrics, and Topsy’s competitive intelligence capabilities are impressive.
