On wireless adoption: There is still a huge ramp in “normal communities” for wireless adoption versus super-connected places like California. Unsexy, yes. | GEOFF LIVINGSTON APRIL 10, 2013 Experiencing Electronic #Natitude Encouraging fans to use the # slogan is brilliant, spanning Twitter, Google+ and Instagram, and perhaps soon Facebook. The team offers a “ social media clubhouse ” on its site, and branded social network hannels include Facebook , Twitter , Instagram , Pinterest , Tumblr and Google+. You can read that story on the online version from one of the largest tabloid papers in Denmark (it’s in Danish, though – but Google Translate will give you the essence of the story). MOBILEGROOVE | FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2012 Why No Public Blowout Over Personal Privacy Breaches & Google Violations? In this column and across my other posts, I have often called out Facebook, Google and other companies for privacy invasions that torpedo any trust that we as consumers can possibly have in the resolve of these Web giants to respect the integrity of our personal data. Google reportedly breached the privacy of millions of Apple Safari users by fooling the Web browser into accepting tracking cookies it normally wouldn’t take. m still waiting. Samsung’s statement. MOBILEGROOVE | FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2011 Google & Twitter Talk Mobile Advertising @MWC; Why Their Schemes May Backfire So where does Google stand? Outgoing Google CEO Eric Schmidt used his keynote address to drive home a single message about the real future of the medium. As Google’s Schmidt put it: “This device (the smartphone) has 20,000 more computing capabilities than the lunar mission.
