Tweet 6 years ago, back in May 2005, YouTube was launched and since then it has been revolutionizing the way in which marketing can work virally. YouTube’s first video was uploaded on April 23, 2005. The site was initially opened to beta testers in May 2005 and in October 2006 it was acquired by Google for $1.65bn.
