In the mid to late 2000s, it was possible to write lots of keyword rich articles, submit them to article directories such as Ezinearticles.com and get them highly ranked in a short time. When Panda was implemented, however, the tactic of blasting articles to directories became virtually useless.

Directory Submissions By nature, directory links are of a very poor quality. Sometimes I’ll also pay $100 or so to BOTW.org which is a human-filtered directory which can give me some great link juice. As soon as I’m cached in this directory I find my rankings to increase almost instantly.

I noted, as usual that mobile visitors represented about twenty percent of my overall traffic, split roughly 50/50 between tablets and smart-phones, which is exactly what I would expect from reading the latest tech news headlines. Smart-phone users aren’t quite so keen to buy stuff, yet. Mobile is growing like crazy.
