As a result they need to develop socio-cognitive and social skill sets. As I had been doing a lot of research on social networking, the department head and myself came up with a course named New Communication Technologies in Organizational Life. Also there is more mobility between school, the workplace, and the community (or communities). This is the idea that in the past, people would socialize in the workplace, exchanging war stories, etc.The format for this for the younger generation are blogs and social networking sites.

As pointed out in the article, we are finding an increasing need for imagination and developing a creativity for the use of IT and development of social skills that technology helps to augment. If we are taking away "play" in these critical years, will we now need to include creativity, imagination, and social interaction as key skills needed to be developed for work literacy? A new job title will emerge: Social Network Manager, the coach of how to create courseware.
