You can apply to be Twitter verified and receive a blue checkmark badge next to your name. It does provide a bit of an ego boost and celebrity moment to see the blue badge, but here’s the real kicker: There are significant business/brand advantages to being Twitter verified. I’m still not sure I fully deserve it!
