Crazy Egg allows you to see the most popular areas of your website pages and find out where visitors from different sources are clicking on your site. If you see that a certain site is sending a lot of RSS subscribers, you can work to get more traffic from that source. That way I knew when my sites had moved.

You could simply buy directory links, sponsor blog posts, and even have Wordpress themes developed which included a link to your site in the footer. The top results for most keyphrases are either a Wikipedia page, a site that is very focused around community, or a clear leader in an industry.

Overall Traffic Visits : 34,196 Pageviews : 57,077 Avg time on Site : 2 mins 14 seconds Every time I publish a new article, there’s always a spike in the stats for the site. Although I don’t have any goals for the size of the community here, I still think it is an interesting metric to monitor.

I was running a community site at the time and besides premium memberships, they aren’t that easy to monetise. I’ve hired programmers to create scripts that I later sell to niche communities for a great return and I’ve also built and sold popular blogs.
