Plaxo: contacts, calendar and e-cards As a social network, I think Plaxo is pretty dismal, no matter how much it tries to Face-Twit-book-terify itself. The other thing I really like about Plaxo’s offerings are its ecards. This was one of the reasons I signed up for Plaxo’s premium service some years ago.

That is, of course, if your friends are using Twitter. You never know until you check out their feed. By studying their feed, you can learn a lot more about how important social media is to them. You can subscribe to your friends’ feeds, but you’ll easily drown in the frequency of updates.

Soocial : a really nice online address book, and something I prefer greatly to Plaxo, which is what I used to use, until it decided it wanted to be something other than Plaxo. I’d signed up for Feedly a while back, and have just started using that as my RSS reader of choice. Founded by my friend Jared Goralnick.

Don’t forget the conversations hiding in Twitter (use Summize.com) and Friendfeed. Take a second look at Plaxo. Build RSS outposts on Facebook. Add Flog Blog, and several other RSS tools. There are 60+ rss readers in my blog, I write daily with at least 1 article. Be sure to stay aware of those. Please help.
