Pageviews Month 4 saw a huge amount of traffic from StumbleUpon hence the uneven growth. I don’t really rate traffic from StumbleUpon so it’s nice to see only a small portion of visitors from the site made up the 72,000 pageviews for March. You could say that we prefer signal over noise.

Most of the growth did not just come from StumbleUpon but there was a huge increase in search engine traffic as well. Although the site received more traffic than last month, a lot of it was from sources like StumbleUpon which doesn’t convert very well, so the ratio of traffic to subscribers doesn’t really match up.

Whilst StumbleUpon can send you thousands of visitors in a single day, I can guarantee that less than one percent of that traffic would buy a product if they were to suddenly land on your website.

Leave Blog Comments Most blog comments are nofollowed (this means search engines aren’t supposed to give weight to the link, though I believe Yahoo and Bing still do) so they don’t provide much link juice directly.
