Most likely a result of Facebook having sued a whole lot of cyber-squatters recently, Facebook has recovered 44 domain names that are typos of the Facebook brand. If you look at the new owner of these domains, they are owned by Facebook: Registrant: Domain Administrator. Facebook, Inc. California Ave. Palo Alto CA 94304.

It’s unnecessary to use a domain name that has an obvious connection to your niche. Most bloggers use their name, but if you can add relevancy after your name, all the better.

There is a new report from ForeSee Results that details research that they performed showing that social media is responsible for only three percent of web site visits to retail web sites. Apparently, according to a report that I wrote about recently, social media spending is going up. But is this really a good decision?

Someone is sending out email notices to domain name owners, telling them that their domain name has been suspended for “violation of the Google Inc. It appears to be a domain suspension notice from Google But it’s not. Abuse Policy: Domain Name: idahoresorts.com. Registrar: Google Inc.
