and right now my response is simply “I share links to it on Facebook and Twitter.&# Twitter is consistently a top 10 referring source of traffic to this website. If I have 100 targeted followers on Twitter then simple logic would suggest that having 1,000 targeted followers would help me to get more retweets.

Sadly, there’s no action list involved in creating an unconscious connection. Authors in the blogosphere have gradually started to link out to each other less and less due to services like Twitter and Facebook being used for sharing content, but I still personally like to link out as much as possible.
