Plaxo: contacts, calendar and e-cards As a social network, I think Plaxo is pretty dismal, no matter how much it tries to Face-Twit-book-terify itself. The other thing I really like about Plaxo’s offerings are its ecards. This was one of the reasons I signed up for Plaxo’s premium service some years ago.

Soocial : a really nice online address book, and something I prefer greatly to Plaxo, which is what I used to use, until it decided it wanted to be something other than Plaxo. Newsle syncs with your social networks, and then sends you an email when any of your contacts are “in the news.” Based in the Washington, D.C.,

I’d love to befriend everyone or even specify groups of friends to which I’d subscribe so that I can get updates delivered to my RSS reader (versus other updates that I would check on a more infrequent basis), though for the time being, the team has not worked that out. Google, Wikipedia and FriendFeed.
