Plaxo: contacts, calendar and e-cards As a social network, I think Plaxo is pretty dismal, no matter how much it tries to Face-Twit-book-terify itself. The other thing I really like about Plaxo’s offerings are its ecards. This was one of the reasons I signed up for Plaxo’s premium service some years ago.

I’d love to befriend everyone or even specify groups of friends to which I’d subscribe so that I can get updates delivered to my RSS reader (versus other updates that I would check on a more infrequent basis), though for the time being, the team has not worked that out. Google, Wikipedia and FriendFeed.

It can either be pushed to you (RSS and email for example), or you can set out looking for it yourself (on Google, for example). Syndic8 and RSS Feeds have just about every feed you could imagine. Soocial : a really nice online address book, and something I prefer greatly to Plaxo, which is what I used to use, until it decided it wanted to be something other than Plaxo. I’d signed up for Feedly a while back, and have just started using that as my RSS reader of choice. Founded by my friend Jared Goralnick.
