Look for social signals. Check for the website’s presence on social media sites. Try Compete, Quantcast and Alexa, but be aware that none offer completely accurate data. Nowadays I use Buzzstream to keep track of my guest blogging initiatives. Ensure that the website is not a blog network. Keep records.
