JB’s services are broad from corporate identity to web strategy to brand advertising to content management. A few email exchanges and a phone conversation later and I was hired. Their co-founder discovered me on LinkedIn when I answered this question on a group. I have a great working relationship with JB and Flex.

Whether meeting for coffee, talking over a meal, or the digital equivalent of having a Skype conversation, I needed a mutual bind to be friends on those sites. I have 112 friends on the site and I’m content with that number. On Facebook and LinkedIn, I wrote that I needed a pre-existing relationship to connect.

I presume, though I’m not certain, that direct visitors subscribe to my email list and only visit the blog when the email doesn’t display content or when they want to add a comment. I used it because I’d encountered it everywhere, from news headlines to casual conversations. The new normal is an inadequate term.

They began posting valuable content. There is a lot of spam, mostly broadcasts and few conversations; but people are joining and others are contributing. Over time, people none of us knew searched LinkedIn for keywords about social media marketing and also joined the group. There are over 16,000 LinkedIn members in the group today!

The conversations that I have on Twitter usually arise out of attending chats, reading blog posts, or if I happen to check in on a stream to see what someone is sharing. I unfollow if they send spam or inappropriate DMs or if they promote their own content too much in the stream. follows 31,800, followed by 101,000.

Show Klout you know how to have back-and-forth conversations with a variety of people. Content is king and therefore key to spreading your brand (and trust me, if you have a thumbnail and a Twitter handle, you are a brand). If you don’t talk, nobody is listening. Strive to post something to each stream, each day.

I hate being asked this question because I always feel self-conscious that my answer may not inspire the person asking the question to continue the conversation and may just be asking it like asking How are you? There are many guides for writing LinkedIn content but you ultimately are in charge of your own unique attributes.
