First, I wanted to get around having a plugin load everytime you brought up a blog post of mine. account, the bookmarklet enabled me to copy and paste a long URL, click a button, and see the resulting short URL with [link] at the beginning. Now, the bookmarklet still works but instead of auto-populating shortened links with [link] , it uses [link] and my short URL is merely powered by bit.ly. as a Short URL. | ARI HERZOG OCTOBER 24, 2010  Why I Use HZG.BZ as a Short URL Blog readers frequently choose this action, on this post or that. If you don’t grasp the significance of the URL, hzg is a shortened version of my last name and bz resembles business. 'Robots.txt is blocking a huge number of urls on our site! As the traffic continuously falls for the past few weeks by over 50% since March 15, we looked closely at Webmaster tools setting and found that robots.txt was blocking excessive urls and this block was continuously increasing every week such that very few pages were still left unblocked. While we were aware robots.txt was set to block some urls, but how many of these indexed urls are being blocked by robots.txt?
