There are several other options, such as Flickr, Tumblr, WordPress, Blogger, etc… even Ping.fm. Incorporating hashtags being used on Twitter into Amplify: [link] when they introduced hashtags to Amplify. RE: sharing, one thing further I definitely recommend is using #hashtags and @ tagging people.
