How you set-up and manage your Twitter account has a huge impact on how many people decide to follow you (translation: follow = subscribe and have the chance to read what you post). It is all public and searchable by anyone, not limited to those who follow you or only those who use Twitter. I’m very happy to oblige.

Twitter is growing quickly, at the rate of 5,000-10,000 new accounts per day, according to a new report from Hubspot called State of the Twittersphere.? More individuals (of all ages), businesses, news outlets, academic institutions, government agencies and non-profit organizations are finding unique value in having a Twitter presence.

One can only hope this is a sign that Twitter will be managing this problem more aggressively, possibly eliminating the need for tools such as TrueTwit. Does it Work?

To me, Twitter is about building relationships. Like all social media tools, there is no one right way to use Twitter. Like all social media tools, there is no one right way to use Twitter. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I do aggressively unfollow if your use of Twitter is not aligned with my own style.

Among the millions of debate-related tweets on Twitter, there was a completely insensitive and inappropriate tweet about President Obama’s grandmother. Within minutes of the now-infamous tweet from the KitchenAid account, it was deleted and reappeared on an individual’s personal Twitter account. Targeted apology.

I am less engaging on a social level as on FB, Twitter etal on LI even though I try to be cordial in my group discussions, q&a etc. Twitter-social in furthering building relationships. It should not be the panacea or alpha-omega of marketing. I only tweet business related tweets there since it is a business site.
