Simple but effective use of social media The first Old Spice videos provoked a lot of comments on various social sites like Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and so on. Of course the Old Spice guy also has a Twitter profile and Facebook Page. It’s a simple idea, but is creating a lot of buzz and PR.

While your subscriber count or twitter following is not the be all end all, if you have a decent following you should let your audience know. At the top I just use the official Twitter and Facebook buttons to avoid to much clutter. Make sure you upgrade your blog commenting system to something a little more SM friendly like Disqus.
