There are certainly some improvements I could make that would make my blog a little more search friendly, but I just haven’t made it a priority. It’s pretty much the sole source of all my blog traffic, and in my opinion, much more fun to manage. My personal fav is the Sexy Bookmarks plugin for WordPress.

Like many bloggers, I’ve gone in and out of writing, and that doesn’t help with maintaining a consistent flow of traffic to your blog. At the end of the day, driving eyeballs to my blog isn’t really the ultimate goal, writing useful and appreciated content is. 9 of my top 10 blog articles are social media related.

I was inspired to write this blog post based on an article that surfaced in my Facebook feed about Appetas , a restaurant website service, that up until now, offered restaurants a turn-key solution to having a website with useful integrated features such as menus, online ordering etc. Appetas announced today they were acquired by Google.

WordPress – Again, another example of the 2nd version of the app breaking through. I don’t really blog with the app, but monitoring comments is very useful on the fly. Synchs with Google Reader seamlessly, and I can easily stay up to date on my fav blogs. You can follow any responses to this entry through the RSS 2.0

Blogging Hands down, WordPress is THE blogging solution. Sure there are others, but WordPress is so damn good, I won’t even pretend to mention other solutions. In addition, WordPress’ sister offerings, BBpress and Buddypress offer message board and social network features as well that all integrate well with each other.

Here’s my #1 reason for you to consider; increasing your blog subscribers. Of course this only really works if you use Feedburner (which many bloggers do), but my blog subscribers skyrocketed once I started using FriendFeed.
