Well all that changed when I received the email below from the CEO from Livefyre: Hi Jeff, At roughly 1:00AM PST on Thursday morning, the Amazon EC2 server hosting service that Livefyre uses suffered an outage due to network errors, effectively disabling Livefyre as well other companies such as Foursquare, Quora, Reddit, and Hootsuite.

A mix-up with my hosting company GoDaddy made for an eventful afternoon. With that said I couldn’t even think shopping as my head was below the water line for most of the week. Perhaps the most shocking thing about this was seeing Ben Rothlisberger’s name in a positive light while the NHL’s Winter Classic (hosted at Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field this year) was in the negative column. Despite the low numbers, the Steelers generated the highest overall sentiment. Both I would normally put in the converse columns.
