For day-to-day documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks, I use iWork or Microsoft Office. I know that using cloud-based apps like Google Docs would solve this, especially for a company using the Google Apps environment. I just had to do it today and because I sync everything using Dropbox, Mozy and Google, it was simple and seamless.
