I’ve written on my blog for quite some time, and I’ve had a mild amount of success with it depending on how you define success. I feel that I write fairly useful and/or entertaining blog posts that most seem to find interesting or helpful. But somewhere I’m missing the boat on getting those blog posts referenced more often.

I want to be surrounded by people that are confident in their abilities, their knowledge, and are able to convey that in group settings. Whether it’s well crafted emails, blog posts, or any sort of copy, talented writers are always in high demand. Not to be mistaken with arrogance. There’s a fine line between both.

I wrestled with the idea of creating a Facebook Page for my blog vs. just utilizing my Facebook Profile to promote. If you have a personal blog that you contribute to regularly, you should seriously consider the benefits of a Facebook Page of which some are: No Limits – Facebook profiles can only have 5,000 friends.

As of this blog post, the Office for Mac twitter account is closing in on 8,000 followers after a few weeks of going live. Obviously a good thing, and part of that success is certainly the group’s ability to be in the conversations. It’s been a great run, and I’m wrapping up my time with the group.

The group is very unique in that it’s a Mac product within the halls of Microsoft. We have a fairly large booth presence, and I’ll be spearheading some daily video recaps that I will post here in addition to the Mactopia blog. Zaaz is a tremendous group of smart, talented people that I’ve had a blast working with.

I was back, with a new group, and ecstatic that I survived. This was a group I thrived in and loved being a part of. So now, I move on to the next chapter in my professional life (blog post soon to come on that!). 10 months later that’s exactly what happened. It worked for me and was a fit.
