Of course, those unread items can quickly add up in your feed reader and make it a bit hard to handle. One way to make sure you are getting what you want from your feed reader is organizing your feeds into particular folders. My Google Reader is sorted by topic, plus a special folder for commenters on Kikolani.

Google has a free product called Google Alerts that will send you emails when the Google web crawlers come across content on the web that contains keywords of your choosing. Another great (free) Google product that you can use to have content delivered to you is Google Reader.

PPC ads are often based on search terms (keywords) you bid on, as in the case of the ones we see on Google everyday. The easiest thing to do is to setup your keywords to be delivered via RSS to the feed reader of your choice (google reader, bloglines, etc).

Google Analytics Before Google Analytics came along there weren’t really that many decent tracking tools available. Instead of waiting around for Google to catch up, you can see what is happening on your website, right now. There used to be a free plan that comes with Crazy Egg but the cheapest option now is $9 per month.
