Effectively, they’re porting their press release information to the wide open, and perhaps going a little more granular by featuring content specific to elements of iTunes. Your Profile Picture thumbnail is the icon that displays next to your Page posts and your Posts on other Pages, when you comment as your Page (a great feature introduced with the new layout). The Photostrip has been a feature of Personal Profiles for some time, but became available to Pages with the introduction of the new Page layout.

Comcast did it early, and Frank Eliason today (who, by the way, is featured in the book I wrote) is really the role model for excellent customer service using online technologies. Many people think that if they involve themselves once, they’re essentially sucked in forever.

Our family’s first computer (which wasn’t net-equipped) was an Apple IIgs which my father purchased in 1987. I still slap myself on the forehead when I recall tossing out a magazine from the Compuserve days that featured the best websites of that time.) Computers are getting smaller, cheaper, and more efficient.
