Kurt Wagner of Re/code reported that Twitter bigwigs including CEO Jack Dorsey and chief operating officer Adam Bain are at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in France this week pitching ad packages for its NFL games. Derella told Wagner 60 percent of Twitter’s NFL ad inventory has already been sold, with early commitments from brands including Ford Motor , Nestlé and Anheuser-Busch.

Sadly, many people believe that content is the new advertising. Do start the interview off, I was asked if content is the new advertising? In the past, I never said "content is the new advertising," if I did, I'd probably write an article saying how wrong I was. I do believe that content is media. Content and advertising are two very different things. People People think advertising is dead because of social media, or messaging apps, and it's just not true. Not that long ago, advertising was a $400 billion business, and currently it's over $900 billion.

Emojis are everywhere, and brands advertising on Twitter can now use them to target their campaigns. Twitter ads application-programming interface product manager Neil Shah announced in a blog post that emoji keyword targeting is now available to advertisers on the social network.
