Plus, when I’m ready to periodically purge my RSS feeds, I can look at the Twitter handles and figure out quickly whether I have engaged with them or not. It made it easy to find posts on a specific topic so I could create lists like 79 Link Building Resources for 2012.

iGoogle Finished – what’s your favourite RSS Dashboard social media monitoring?

It can’t be a purely RSS play as we need gadgets/widgets for API only based services. iGoogle will be retired in 16 months, on November 1, 2013. Other gadgets, like the to-do list , allow you to export your data – look for the “Download all” option under the drop-down menu tied to the title of your list.

If You Didn’t Think RSS Was Dead Before, Facebook Just Killed it, Completely

This, in my not so humble opinion, effectively kills RSS, as a consumer blog and article consumption medium, once and for all. Sure enough, if you read Google trends , a natural interest in RSS fell by at least 50% back in 2013. RSS isn’t social. You can’t reply via RSS. You can’t share via RSS.
