Hell, even I’m guilty of over saturating my twitter feed with social media tweets. Automate Twitter – Many people immediately balk at the idea of using tools that automate some of the tasks with Twitter. You can of course always use tools like Craigslist, LinkedIn and old dogs like Monster, but sometimes the cream of the crop aren’t listed there. So easy to use, great UI, and of course free (they do have paid upgrades). Tweetdeck – I know most of those reading will know of Tweetdeck, but I have to add this to my list as I’ve tried practically all of the different Twitter apps, and in my opinion Tweetdeck just seems to work out the best.

While your subscriber count or twitter following is not the be all end all, if you have a decent following you should let your audience know. Of course you need to back it up with some good content. At the top I just use the official Twitter and Facebook buttons to avoid to much clutter.

MA has established themselves as a leader in brands using social, and I was lucky enough to be a part of that team in the early stages as social media tools like Facebook and Twitter began to take off. Most of the pretenders just jumped on the social media bandwagon and got their Facebook pages and Twitter accounts going early on.

Based on these figures, Linked In is where I’m attracted my strongest audience followed closely by Twitter. Of course I added a social media spin to it to make it more relevant to my blog, but at the end of the day, I drove quite a few new people to my blog and I would imagine a few new readers in the process. Of course, I can’t help but offer some feedback on the whole process being as passionate as I am about community managment. Besides a few Twitter updates notifying followers of new videos, there was no company interaction with the site. Great use of Twitter and Facebook to evangelize the opportunity. Be more involved.
