I scan 275 RSS feeds in Google Reader and I use dozens of bookmarklets and shortcuts to help me manage it all. The Toolbar then automatically feeds it into a new message. Some enterprising folks have taken data feeds from the BBC and CNN and ported them to Twitter. and automatically feed these into your Gmail database?

Be sure to list your new blog URL as well as your new RSS feed URL in that post so people can subscribe easily to your new site or visit it directly. If you don’t want to change the backend though, you can simply use a widget for your category dropdown and change the name to topics, that way it displays on the sidebar as such.

Track things like audience/community sentiment (positive/negative) if you want to map effort to results. Pay attention to which widgets you use in your sidebar. Use social networks respectfully to share the best of your content, in a community-appropriate setting. Remember that community and marketplace are two different things.
