My friend Gyutae managed to leverage over 35,000 hits in two weeks and I know blogs like TheNextWeb have reported over 250,000 visitors per month from the service in their stats. Some of these are automated through RSS feeds (such as @Nytimes) and others are personal tweets, such as Shaquille O’neill (@THE_REAL_SHAQ).

Bloggers who are compensated can use the “nofollow&# tag within their outbound links to keep those links from being tagged by Google as paid content. The nofollow may well make that harder, but then again, if you are under contract I think it’s the buyer’s responsibility to track the postings of the paid blogger.

If you see that a certain site is sending a lot of RSS subscribers, you can work to get more traffic from that source. It certainly isn’t 100% accurate (though no analytics tool is) and the only downside in my opinion is the delay in reporting. If you want to check the stats for today, you have to wait until tomorrow.

I remember the days when traffic from the service would only have a 30% bounce rate, and while it’s around 80% now, a percentage of visitors still leave comments and sign-up to your RSS feed which is what most people want them to do. Maybe you need to make your RSS more clear (like I mentioned on our coaching call) in the left sidebar.

The great thing about this plugin is not only does it allow advertisers to buy an ad spot and upload the banner without your involvement, but it also sends them weekly reports on how many impressions the banner received and how many clicks they got.
