It wasn’t until recently however that I realized the potential of utilizing Linked In Groups to drive blog traffic. For those of you not using Linked In Groups, here are the steps to take that will immediately give your blog or website a traffic boost. Ever since doing so, roughly 20% of my blog traffic comes from Linked In.

Get Active With LinkedIn Groups – Linked In Groups are an often unknown resource that can pay big dividends in a variety of ways. Also consider resources like Indeed.com which also let you grab an RSS feed based on your custom searches. Use tools like Hootsuite , Hootlet and TwitrBackgrounds.com to get up and running.

Hell, even I’m guilty of over saturating my twitter feed with social media tweets. Some simply only want to follow and be followed by a select group of individuals and keep their Twitter streams clean. Find relevant groups and join the conversation and you’ll find yourself building credibility and learning from others as well.

Obviously a good thing, and part of that success is certainly the group’s ability to be in the conversations. It’s been a great run, and I’m wrapping up my time with the group. What suprised me the most though was the Facebook adoption. Well over 3,300 fans after just a few weeks.

The group is very unique in that it’s a Mac product within the halls of Microsoft. Zaaz is a tremendous group of smart, talented people that I’ve had a blast working with. Now, after 3 months of discussing, planning, revising, and who knows how many meetings, the curtain has been pulled away and the excitement begins.
