Submit all company domains to free and paid directories and local search directories. Include negative keywords.

Go beyond the “big three” social networks (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) and check out avenues for sharing like exploreB2B , Quora , Scoop.It , and for blogs specifically, Triberr. • Use directories based on their relevance and value, but as with news releases—not just for backlinks. And it’s not only Google.

The Florida Bar Association continues to encroach on lawyers’ digital real estate. As you all know, we only have 140 characters with which to communicate, so our real estate there is extremely valuable. This made me wonder what in heaven’s name are lawyers and law firms supposed to do when it comes to Twitter?

Some more observations: The ability to connect RSS, Twitter and Facebook feeds makes it easy to maintain a Channel without committing significant time or resources. Since the Channel Directory listings are in alphabetical order this offers an advantage to names that appear earlier in the alphabet, at least among browsing users.

I tried many forms of making money online, including advertising on my blog, AdSense sites, affiliate marketing, and maintaining a directory. Local search results take up prime real estate on the first page, so if you are not on it, then you are missing out on business. I love writing.
