Like many early stage bloggers, for months I obsessed about seeing the chiclet count on my Feedburner badge hit 1,000, only to find that it wouldn’t do much for me other than inflate my ego. Top add to that Feedburner became completely unreliable and the subscriber count fluctuated dramatically on a weekly basis.

Weve also taken a look in the past at automatic filters such as Feedhub ( our coverage ) which learns from your behavior to suggest posts, or AideRSS ( our coverage and here ), which uses outside metrics to determine which items in an RSS feed are the "best." FeedBurner provides no filtering? I use netvibes personally.
