Moderation - Facebook has included a robust set of moderation tools, including visibility settings (comments can be set to be visible to everyone or set so that people only see those from people in their social graph), blacklisting words and banning users. 3 things the campaign is doing right: • Giving something back to the community – the videos encourage people to engage with the Old Spice guy and manages to give something back you can look at, thus giving the user a sense of ownership and seeing concrete results. They added a Facebook page and fired up a Twitter account which appears to be very active, which is great because a twitter account is pointless unless it interacts and becomes part of the discussion with its community. The new group notification system and group chat seems interesting, but both features ceases to exist when the group reach 250 members (from then on you will only get notified from friends actions within the group).
