If you need help at a bank and speak to the teller but the teller remains silent, is that good business practice? I’m sure that if iTunes actually included the customer in its feed, and if other Apple departments followed suit, there would be a whole lot more followers and satisfied customers. Is that even professional?

Whereas before when computers were only found in banks and offices, media snackers have access at home, in school, or in libraries — all for free. Don’t shy away from giving your community the information needed to find you elsewhere both online and offline. Let it be posted on every social platform of choice and then watch as it seeds through other communities (which is likely to happen and shows that your marketing is viral). This is basic News Feed Optimization.

With Twitter being so incredibly large and vast, there are different types of mini-communities. I DO own one for ORM, but I’ve left it as a news feed. I started following people who wrote or commented on the SEO blogs to develop my own Twitter community. Call them cliques if you will. Many don’t overlap.
