The August 21 #MeasurePR chat was a fun and lively discussion about a few topics of interest to measurement geeks—including the notorious topic we love to pick apart: Klout. Here are some highlights: Klout has recently made changes to its algorithm, many of which appear to be in response to (heavy) criticism of the “influence” tool.

Holding true to form, we did beat up on Klout a bit – not many fans in the measurement crowd. What the #measurePR Community Thinks of 2012. New trends? Saying goodbye to bad habits? Any goals?”.

But moreover, in the age of social influence ranking systems such as Klout and Peer Index , I want to be current. The “force unfollow” function debuted in 2012. I always blog about my social media actions as a way of 1) charting my own evolution; and 2) helping you discover something new. They inflated me.
