It seems to be the most polished while also offering everything I need in addition to future options like API integration. My website was started in 2011. Here’s an example… The question is related to Facebook ads strategies. Ultimately, I’m going with Chatbase. Of course, I have to be careful with this.

It seems Twitter has completely removed the ability to consume their feeds via the open standard of RSS in favor of their more proprietary API formats. At the same time, Facebook seems to have done the same. Facebook has gone back and forth on this though so it is no surprise on their part. Am I missing something here?

I don’t know if “techertainment” is a thing or not, so if not, (c) 2011 Brandon Prebynski. Facebook is… always changing. From custom app development, to adding social functionality to a site, to working with multiple APIs, to building a measurement systems, there is so much more that all businesses can do.

Twitter has changed its guidance over the years, moving downstream into the mobile and desktop client markets, and changing the terms around API access, all of which have impacted a variety of third-party developers who had built business models based on Twitter’s initial assertions that it was in favor of an open ecosystem. You betcha.

Twitter has bought other companies in the social media analysis space— BackType (2011), Bluefin Labs (2013), Trendrr (2013)—but Gnip is a bigger deal. It also manages API access for Facebook, Google, and others that probably see Twitter as a competitor. If you weren''t sure, things just got interesting.
