I signed up for Google Adwords, popped some ad units into my blog’s sidebar, and waited for the money to start coming in. But I made three big mistakes… Mistake #1: Too much of a focus on money. Especially since the copyright in the footer of the website suggests 2007 – 2013. I’m not sure how much this goes into conspiracy theory territory, but I was interested by how many comments and emails suggested that search results are so bad because Google want more people buying ads on Adwords where results are more stable.

It doesn’t require paid advertising campaigns via Facebook or Adwords. After Google’s acquisition of Feedburner in 2007 they provided very little in the way of updates or support the following years.
