Personal Update I recently noticed that ViperChill was regularly being shown on the first page of Google for the phrase ‘viral marketing’ While I haven’t pushed hard to rank for this phrase, I have optimised the site around that term. You’re the equivalent of Apple in the blogosphere. To our success in May!

Matt created what you may know as Google’s “safesearch filter&# and is the head of their web-spam department.

Although factors other than links apply, I will say that Google are very favourable towards Wikihow for a large number of terms. Their links mostly come from resource and links pages on other guitar websites which is great. A common myth many people follow is that the site with the most backlinks will rank the highest in Google.

If you are loyal to Google guidelines, the teachings of blogs like Moz and love playing by the book, then you’ll probably realise with this article that we possess a very different perspective. Google make all of their money via ads so quite simply want more people to click on them (and more often). They Have All The Answers.

Depending on what you write about, there’s a great chance you’ll find inspiration by searching for relevant phrases to your niche and finding the most resourceful content. If people are searching for it in mass on Google, it’s probably safe to say that your blog readers would like to know about it too. BTW, nice post.
