Yeah, I don’t really know what you’re wearing, or not, when you’re actually tweeting, but please put some clothes on that avatar. You have the default Twitter avatar or are using a photo of your dog. Even on a list of 11 items, it is worth repeating #1 – Go put some clothes on. What about you?

We give you a list of all the people you consider a contact, and all the social web sites they are using. Connector looks at the public friends lists on del.icio.us, Pownce, Digg, Last.fm, and YouTube to see if youre connected there as well. MyBlogLog adds FriendFeed, Magnolia and ThisNext to list of services. How does it work?

Leaving the default avatar in place is the kiss of death in terms of getting people to follow you. It can be something simple like “Excited to meet and connect with other architects on Twitter&# or “Have heard so much about integrating Twitter into my marketing plan, just have to give it a try.&#

Interestingly, I generated this list (which was a combination of manual labor plus FriendCSV ) and learned that the first adopters are all associated with me through college. While this isn’t anything substantially groundbreaking, I propose this question: why is it that many marketers are not embracing the technology earlier?
