Tweet Yesterday Facebook has launched Facebook Questions, which allows users and pages to post a Question to friends or a Facebook community. It seems like Facebook is constantly picking up on online trends and launching new products to match user needs. Latest with Places to match location-based services like Foursquare and Gowalla.

Once you start getting more involved with the Twitter you will see that it is really a community of people that just want to give constant updates to people that are following them. Besides social media platforms as Facebook, geo-localising applications are popular amongst smartphone users who check into locations or tag the location onto a photo. This geo-targeting trend adds the local dimension to the social and mobile movement. Though not recently published it’s far from outdated.

The former Speaker of the House Tip O'Neill once famously said "All politics is local," meaning that ultimately, people care most about what's going on in communities around them.

Now, I’m not suggesting Foursquare will ever approach Twitter’s level of ubiquity, much less Facebook’s. Because Foursquare makes very little sense unless you’re in a physical location like a store, restaurant, etc. At least it is for me.
