If you don’t care about getting statistics back on who reads your blog that and just want to create great content and share it with the world then just stick to the feed that already exists on your blog. The very fact that the + sign causes SEO problems speaks volumes about Google’s planning on this thing. The user interface is getting better but it’s still painful to get in and out unlike sites like Twitter and Facebook which are very manageable through 3rd party apps.
