Among the global Forture 100 companies, 65% use Twitter, 54% are on Facebook and half post videos to YouTube. Seems like a bit of a disconnect.

Google Blog Search – Google blog search , if the name doesn’t give too much information away, is a blog search engine. The links don’t just send direct traffic but they also help with search engine traffic. If you want more traffic from the likes of Google, Yahoo and Bing, you need more links. You da man.

No Follow Certain Links – Adding the nofollow attribute to certain links tells search engines not to pass Pagerank to them and not to give any ‘benefits’ to the receiving page or site. I also nofollow links to pages that don’t need my link juice such as About or Contact and even things like my RSS feed.

There’s also no doubt in my mind that Youtube has a huge algorithmic preference over other video platforms like Vimeo, Wistia & DailyMotion, no matter what Google say about keeping things fair. Good luck convincing your friends outside of search to start using Bing or Yahoo anytime soon.
