Previously, sponsored links in JavaScript such as those in the example above could not be read by crawlers and thus were in compliance with Google’s guidelines. I can’t imagine they would, especially when virtually no one outside of the developer and SEO communities is even aware that this change has taken place.

If you use Google Reader in a list format for example – like I do – then your headline determines whether myself or anyone else using the service will click on your listing to read the post. Health, gambling, forex and gaming industries for example, are very competitive online. The phrases in the example above are considered to be long-tail phrases as they contain more words and have a much smaller search volume, but they’re also easier to rank for. I’ve been interviewed about marketing using guest posts over 10 times, I’m mentioned on the homepage of a guest posting community and I’ve written far more of them than I care to remember. Contact Authors – Every blogger should know at least 10 other writers in their community very well. Totally awesome article!

Really great conference, very good community. If you open a magazine, the magazine is designed in way the reader feels even though there is different articles, that they belong next to each other. Other areas of inconsistency, capitalization of words in headlines, for example, and I see this all the time.
