This is particularly appealing for publishers with content that may be of interest to specific audiences as opposed to the wider Digg user base. In my post on news sites on the new Digg I noted that NBC has created a series of city-specific profiles to target local markets. Will it work with local news? NBC is trying to find out.

Social technologies make syndication and aggregation simple. Syndicating all of your tweets into your Facebook status updates is inconsiderate. It allows you to update your Facebook status from Twitter, but you can choose which tweets you want to syndicate by ending the tweet with the hashtag #fb. Its annoying. Am I alone here?

The number one pull marketing tool that you have is your website. If you guest post on other sites and syndicate your content in your field then you grow your own credibility in the field. Collaborating with others in the field that way is a great marketing tool that can be used to pull others towards your brand. Tweet This!

First, a study of 33 million unique users from Chitika’s network in September showed that visitors coming from Facebook and Digg were more loyal than those coming from the three major search engines and Twitter.
