Why is it that these web applications allow users to rate an article before they’re even forwarded to it? The numbers would be a lot more representative if this approach was implemented, and the incentive to have users gaming these systems would be substantially diminished. This is a win-win approach. Does that make more sense?

Tweet Spinner is a powerful application that manages the more high level management Twitter tasks for you, from managing followers/friends to changing your profile design and then some. You can also set a specific follower-to-following ratio, and if you exceed this point, the system will stop following any additional users.

You can use the many applications that Facebook offers, so that others can answer questions on a survey, have discussions on the forums, and/or have notes to bring awareness to a topic. When I was having some issues adding the commenting system to my web site, I was able to quickly get a response from the JS-Kit team and their users.

Plurk introduced a comment system which helps create a conversational feel. Twitter went about this in the right way and it’s opened up a host of new applications, tools, and scripts. Which can be used as – a part of – a checklist, when developing the ultimate microblogging application.

It’s about time that I bring the dialogue here since it’s evident that I’m already starting to grow fond of the brand new social network. The Early Adopter Appeal Mixx is a new social news site that went into private beta a mere two months ago. I naturally selected the “Photo&# option.

In the past few weeks, however, even Digg’s other top users are seeing that Digg is becoming more difficult of a social news site to enjoy, and after stepping away from Digg for awhile, I have some thoughts and reflections on how it was and possibly how it should be. Reddit and Mixx , on the other hand, live on a karma system.

The value to me (although I don’t know if a lot of people are actively doing it) is the ability for me to vote on what you think is applicable to you. It may not be a perfect system, but it’s interesting enough to follow for awhile, and see how it pans out. Read that again if it didn’t make sense. Great article.
