Sure social media rock stars are great to have in your camp but when they are you, well they can take followers with them and boom companies are back at square one.

Gilda’s Club: What went wrong?

When a local United States affiliate of Gilda’s Club decided to ‘freshen up’ their name in an effort to appeal to younger cancer patients, thus eliminating the ‘Gilda’ from Gilda’s Club, a social media maelstrom ensued. As a result, the Cancer Support Community (CSC), which merged with Gilda’s Club in 2009, issued a media statement.
